G.A. 2018 Memphis

The GO Center @ G.A. 2018 Memphis
As always, the GO Center is an active player at this year’s General Assembly in Memphis. Here’s a rundown:

Transitional Pastor Ministry Training – Pre-Assembly Seminar
Begins Monday June 18th @ 1:00 PM
Ends Tuesday June 19th @ 5:00 PM
Cost: $60.00 includes Transitional Ministry Training & Resource Manual

Transitional Ministry is a vital ministry that is gaining momentum in the EPC. Now at 600+ churches, there are always churches experiencing a pastoral transition throughout the EPC, and how those transitions are handled will effect these transitioning churches for many years to come. Rather than jumping quickly into calling new pastors, the GO Center recommends that churches engage the skill and experience of specially trained transitional pastors who are equipped to lead these churches through their times of transition. These transitions are uniquely strategic opportunities for firmly establishing church health and setting the stage for smooth transitions to incoming permanent pastors.

If you are currently serving as a transitional pastor or are interested in serving in this capacity in the future, Transitional Pastor Training is for you. If you are serving in your Presbytery in any way that impacts the health and development of churches in transition, this important training is something you need to investigate. Register today for G.A. 2018 Transitional Pastor Pre-Assembly Ministry Training.

GO Center Presbytery Coordinators Luncheon – Wednesday June 20th – Noon
If you are serving with the GO Center as your Presbytery’s GO Center Coordinator, you are invited to attend a luncheon on Wednesday with the GO Center National Team. If you want to bring a boxed lunch to the luncheon, please sign up for a Wednesday lunch when you register for G.A. More information will be forthcoming about the location of this luncheon so stay tuned.
